It is an unhealthy scalp which promotes dandruff for me and dandruff work as a major cause for hair fall. Hair fall can also be accelerated due to damage to the hair shaft. Taking the best care of my scalp and hair with anti dandruff hair packs, reduced my dandruff and hence hair loss too.

Yogurt and honey hair mask

Mix 2 tablespoons of fresh yogurt with 1 tablespoon of honey to make a smooth paste. Now apply this pack to your scalp and hairs. Leave on for an hour covering your head with a shower cap and wash off with normal water.

This hair pack shown effects for me just after a single use, and i believe with regular use it can cure dandruff and hair fall completely.

Lemon juice and olive oil hair mask

Lemon can fight dandruff and reduce hair fall most efficiently and the olive oil present in the mask helps in eliminating dandruff by moisturizing the scalp while nourishing your hair from within.

Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, mix well and massage the mixture into your scalp. Leave on for 20-30 minutes and then wash off your scalp and hair with a mild shampoo.

Hibiscus hair pack

Red hibiscus has abilities to remove and cure the problem of dandruff and hair fall from the root.

Take 20 hibiscus flowers or leaves, wash them properly and make a paste in grinder. Now apply this pack lavishly on your scalp and hairs. Leave on for 1 hour after covering your head with a shower cap. Wash off with normal water.

Egg hair mask

Egg being a rich source of protein can nourish your scalp and fight the problem of dandruff and hair fall efficiently.

To make an effective anti dandruff hair mask with egg take the white of an egg and beat it with 2 teaspoons of olive oil. Apply the mixture on your scalp and hair, leave for an hour after covering your head with a shower cap and wash off with a mild shampoo.

Fenugreek & coconut oil hair pack

Home remedies to get rid of dandruff

Soak 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in clean water overnight and in the morning make a smooth paste of it before adding 2 spoons of coconut oil. Now apply this mixture thoroughly on your scalp and hairs. Let the pack set for 1 hour and then wash off with plain water and any mild shampoo.

Henna and neem hair pack

Henna and neem both have effective antifungal properties and a hair pack made with these leaves can reduce dandruff and control hair fall effectively.

Take 2 tablespoons of henna powder and soak it in mild warm water. Now take 20 neem leaves, wash them clean and make a paste of them. Mix the two and apply on your scalp and hairs. Leave for an hour, without letting the pack get dry and wash off with plain water.

Oatmeal and tea tree oil hair mask

Oatmeal coupled with a few drops of tea tree oil can do wonders to cure dandruff.  Oatmeal controls secretion of excessive oil on the scalp, while the tea tree oil works as an effective antibacterial and antifungal agent.

Add two tablespoon of oatmeal with sufficient water to make a smooth paste and then add few drops of tea tree oil to it; mix well and apply on your scalp and hair. Leave on for 30 minutes and then wash off with normal water.

Fuller’s earth and olive oil hair pack

Fuller’s earth more commonly known as multani mitti can remove dandruff efficiently. Make a smooth paste of Fuller’s earth by adding adequate water and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Apply the pack thoroughly on your scalp and hair, leave on for 30 minutes and then rinse with water without using any shampoo.

Aloe vera and ginger hair pack

Benefits of lemon for dandruff

Take 2 inch of ginger and make a smooth paste. Mix it with 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera pulp. Now massage the mixture into your scalp and hairs and leave on for one hour. Wash off with normal water. This hair pack is highly effective in fighting dandruff and controlling hair fall.

Amla, curry leaves and basil hair mask

Take 4-5 fresh Amla, 10-15 curry leaves and 10-15 Basil leaves. Now grind all the ingredients together to make a smooth paste. Apply this pack to your scalp and hair and leave on for one hour. Wash off with cold water.

Amla, curry leaves and Basil all the three has excellent anti-bacterial and antifungal properties. They can effectively cure scalp disorders like dandruff and check hair fall.

Citrus peel hair mask

Citrus fruits are great source of Vitamin C. They fight dandruff and ensure a better scalp health. The peels of citrus fruits, like orange and lemon, can be excellent for hairs due to their mild acidic as well as conditioning properties.

Take the peel of 2 lemons and 1 orange, clean them well and soak in water. Now make a smooth paste with the peels and apply the pack on to your scalp. Leave for 1 hour or a bit more before washing off with plain water.

Moong dal and curd hair pack

Soak 2 tablespoon of moong dal overnight. In the morning strain the excess water and make a smooth paste of the bean in a grinder. Mix the paste with 1 tablespoon of curd and apply this mixture to your scalp and hair. Leave on for an hour and then wash off with normal water. This hair mask can be highly effective to cure dandruff.

Onion and gram flour (Besan) hair pack

Besan is a natural exfoliating agent and can be very efficient for removing dandruff. On the other hand, onion is well known for its properties to fight skin problems and promoting scalp health.

Take 1 big sized onion, remove the peel, wash it clean and make a paste in a grinder. Now add 1 tablespoon of Gram flour and water to the onion paste and mix well. Apply this mask on your scalp thoroughly and leave on for 1 hour. Wash off with plain water and a mild shampoo.

Snake gourd (Chichida) and beetroot hair pack

Take a medium sized Snake Gourd and 1 beetroot of medium size. Wash them both clean and make a smooth paste with the help of a grinder. Now apply this pack to your scalp, leave on for 1 hour and wash off with plain water. I love this hair pack to get rid of dandruff and it also made my hair smooth.

Apple cider vinegar and banana hair pack

Apple Cider Vinegar has the ability to balance the pH of the scalp which can heavily help in dandruff cure. The banana ion the pack ensures that your scalp and hair is well moisturized so that there is no dryness to cause dandruff or hair fall.

Mash a medium sized banana and add 1 tablespoon of ACV to it. Mix well and apply the pack to your scalp and hair. Let the pack set for 30 minutes and then wash off with plain water.

Thyme and aloe vera hair pack

Thyme is a herb from the mint family. It has great antiseptic properties and can prevent dandruff and hair loss effectively.

Take 2 tablespoons of dried thyme leaves, add half cup of clean water and boil for 15 minutes. Now strain the leaves and collect the juice. Mix this concoction with 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera pulp and massage it into your scalp. Leave on for one hour and then wash with plain water. It is a sure shot remedy to fight dandruff and cure hair fall.

How to remove dandruff quick

Aloe Vera and Honey both has extreme nourishing and moisturizing properties. These ingredients are also filled with vitamins that can actually help in giving you a healthier scalp helping in controlling dandruff and hair fall. Garlic has high sulfur content, which can easily fight any scalp infection and dandruff.

To make this pack Mix 4 spoons of Aloe Vera pulp with 2 spoons of honey. You need to crush and squeeze out the juice of a whole of medium sized garlic. Now add this garlic juice to the mixture of Aloe Vera and Honey and apply the pack onto your scalp. Let it set for 30 minutes and then wash off with a mild shampoo.

Green tea and rosemary oil hair pack

Green tea leaves are high in antioxidant content which can fight any type of scalp issues and is also great for nourishing your hairs. Rosemary oil is called the natural hair tonic and it can actually cure any type of scalp infection including dandruff.

Soak a handful of green tea leaves in slightly warm water for 1 hour and then make a smooth paste with it. Add 15 drops of rosemary essential oil in this paste and apply it onto your scalp and hairs. Let it set on your hairs for 1 hour but do not let it get dry. Wash off with plain water.

Baking soda and lemon juice hair mask

Baking soda can clean off any debris and dirt stored on your scalp and it also reduces any type of fungal infection which can be very helpful to control dandruff.

Add 1 spoon of fresh lime juice with 4 spoons of baking soda.  Now pour in some water to make a thick paste. Apply this paste immediately onto your scalp. You need to massage your scalp lightly with the paste and then let it set for 2-3 minutes before washing off with water.

Anxiety disorder is a condition characterized by the presence of fear, stress, and anxiety. Anxiety disorder is divided on the basis of the cause of anxiety. Following are the types of anxiety disorders:

  3. Social anxiety disorder: It is also known as social phobia. This type of anxiety develops when the patient is asked to become social and this type of situation is normal for another person.
  4. Generalized anxiety disorder: This type of anxiety occurs due to u wanted worry even when there is nothing to worry about.
  5. Obsessive-compulsive disorder: Unwanted thoughts and compulsory behavior are the characteristics of this type of anxiety disorder.
  6. Specific-phobia anxiety: This phobia varies from person to person. Some people felt anxious while flying while anxiety develops in some people due to heights.

Causes

  1. Stress: Stress causes various changes in the physical and mental factors that lead to the development of anxiety disorders. Patient has a history of stressful events are more likely to develop anxiety disorders.
  2. Medications: Various medications have side effects of causing anxiety disorders. These medications include steroids, asthma medication, and medications used for various neurological problems such as ADHD.
  3. Thyroid gland: Anxiety is highly prevalent in the patient with the underactive thyroid gland. This is more of a psychological process as there is a relation between the underactive thyroid gland and psychiatric problems.
  4. Caffeine: Caffeine, due to its psychoactive property, aggravates anxiety. Caffeine causes insomnia and increases the concentration of stress hormones.
  5. Alcohol: Drinking high quantity of alcohol increases the anxiety episodes. Alcohol worsens anxiety by altering the levels of neurotransmitters and serotonin.
  6. Personality factors: Personality traits and family environment is also a major source of anxiety disorder. Some people are highly confident during public speaking while some suffer from anxiety disorder due to the difference in their personality.
  7. Family history: A history of mental illness in the family is also responsible for the development of anxiety disorder.
  8. Prolonged illness: Chronic illness also increases the development of anxiety. It has been concluded in a study that the patients suffering from cancer experiences distress and suffered from panic disorder.

Symptoms

The symptoms of anxiety disorder depend upon the type of anxiety patient is suffering from. Following are the general symptoms of anxiety disorders:

  1. The patient feels excessive worry which is disproportionate to the actual trigger.
  2. The patient experiences a rapid pulse, high sweat, and dry mouth.
  3. The patient suffering from anxiety disorder has prolonged restlessness.
  4. The patient began to develop social isolation and avoid public interactions.
  5. The patient suffers difficulty sleeping due to anxiety.
  6. Poor concentration and poor memory are also the symptoms of anxiety disorder.
  7. Patient of anxiety disorders also feels irritated.

How to diagnose

Following are the diagnostic methods used by the physician to diagnose anxiety disorders:

  1. Physical examination: Physical examination of the patient is conducted to get an idea about the existence of anxiety disorders. Various parameters that are incorporated in physical examination includes the intake of alcohol and smoking, current medications, amount of caffeine intake and the presence of any chronic disease.
  2. Tests: If the physician, during the physical examination, came to know about the chronic disease, he may order the diagnostic test to check the status of the disease.
  3. Family history: It has been seen that family environment and family history significantly impact the occurrence of stress. The family history of mental illness increases the risk of developing anxiety disorders.
  4. Psychological tests: Various psychological tests are available to determine the exact mental health of the patient. Hamilton Anxiety Scale contains 14 questions that rate the mood, tension and anxiety level of the patient. Beck Anxiety Inventory contains 21 multiple choice questions to evaluate the symptoms experienced by the patient.

Risk neglecting Anxiety disorder

  1. Overall ill health: Prolonged anxiety disorder take a toll on the overall health of the patient. The patient is under continuous stress that severely impacts various vital body processes.
  2. Poor mental health: The person with unmanaged anxiety disorder have poor mental health such as poor concentration and dementia.
  3. Social isolation: The anxious person detaches himself from society and feels isolated without any public interaction.
  4. Functional impairment: Functional impairment also develops in people with neglected anxiety disorder. It is due to the fact that anxiety disorders cause tense muscles.
  5. Insomnia: Insomnia is also caused by people who continuously worries without any appropriate reason.

Stages

The stages of anxiety are divided on the basis of presentation of symptoms. In early-stage anxiety, symptoms just began to appear. In mild stage anxiety, the symptoms are distressing but do not affect the routine functions. Moderate anxiety is characterized by more severe symptoms and the patient tries hard to complete the routine task. High level of fear exists in this people suffering from severe anxiety and the lifestyle is significantly impaired. These patients are generally on the medications of anxiety and should be supported by counseling.
