Very first wash your baby’s bump with lukewarm water. Pat dry your baby’s skin and let it dry naturally for the next few minutes. Sprinkle a little cornstarch on your baby’s bump before placing the diaper. Do it every time while changing the diaper until you notice the complete healed skin.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is loaded with a high amount of protein that soothes your baby’s skin. It is also rich in saponin that is a chemical compound help in removing all the oil and oil that is in the excessive amount from the skin pores of your baby.

You need to add 1 tbsp of oatmeal to your bath water. Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Bathe your baby with this solution to give soothing effects to the skin. Do the same two or three times in a day to notice the better result.

Frankincense oil

Frankincense oil contains anti-inflammatory properties that are beneficial to reduce skin irritation and swelling. It is also rich in antibacterial properties that fight off the bacteria that are causing skin rashes.

You need to add 3-4 drops of frankincense oil in 1 tbsp of coconut oil. Mix both the ingredient well. Apply this solution to the affected area while massaging gently. Repeat the same a couple of time a day.

Breast milk

Clean your baby’s bottom and pat dry. Apply breast milk on your baby’s bottom. Let it dry before placing the diaper. Make sure; you are using a cotton ball to apply milk on the affected area. Do it after bath OR while changing the diaper.

Lard

There is another remedy to treat the diaper rashes. It is also quite easy to use. Lard is loaded in the properties that can soothe your baby’s skin as well as heal the affected area fast.

You need to bring lard into the room temperature before using. You can also use the microwave for heating that will make it soften for 2-3 seconds. You can place it directly to the affected area to get relief.

Soothing bath

You can go with another option that is a soothing bath. Now you must be thinking how to make it possible. Well, let you know there are different ways that you can choose to prepare a soothing bath for your baby.

  • Add 3-4 tbsp of coconut oil in your baby’s bath water.
  • Mix 1- 1½ tbsp of dried oatmeal to the bathing water.
  • Take 1 tbsp of baking soda. Add to the bath water.

Make sure; you are soaking your baby for 10-15 minutes. This remedy can help you to treat your baby’s diaper rashes.
