There are several burns one of them is minor burn. In minor burn your only top layer of the skin is damaged, burn area gets red and painful. There are many reasons for minor burns like contact with hot objects or fluids, spending too much time in the sun exposure, steam.
There are two categories which are considered as minor burns.
- If your outer layer of skin gets affected. It causes swelling, pain, and redness.
- If your deeper layers of skin get affected. It causes blisters, shiny skin, and wet.
These minor burns can be treated and heal by home remedies
You can stop expanding your burn from spreading continue running water, within seconds or a minute after burn. You can also prefer a cold compress and place over the affected area. You can repeat this remedy several times to get relief.
Do not use ice, it can damage delicate tissues.
Aloe vera has the cool tendency and it is enriched with astringent and tissue-healing properties which may help in healing minor burns.
Take a leaf of the aloe vera and apply gel on burn area.
You can add one teaspoon of turmeric powder in one teaspoon of aloe vera then apply.
You can apply a cream that contains aloe vera substance.
Raw potato contains anti-irritation and soothing properties,that help to heal the minor burns by reducing pain and blisters.
Cut a slice of raw potato and rub on the affected area, ensure that the juice of raw potato that is rich with carbohydrates is spreading well on the burn.
You can grate a raw potato and place on the burn for 15 to 20 minutes.
Honey is one of the best home remedies if you have minor burns, as it has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. It gives relief from pain and cools your burn while making the skin healthy and fade scars.
Take a gauze bandage and spread honey on it then apply it on the burn. Repeat this remedy 3 to 4 times in a day.
There are many substances in milk like calcium, antioxidants, vitamins, protein, and fat that help relieve pain from the minor burns.
Apply milk on burn for 15 to 20 minutes that will help healing very effectively. Repeat this remedy for many times to get relief fast.
Coconut oil and lemon juice
Coconut oil has the great properties of vitamin E, caprylic acid, lauric acid, mystic acid, which are fatty acids. These acids provide anti-bacterial and antioxidant benefits. Lemon juice contains vitamin C and acidic properties that fades the scars. The combination of coconut oil and lemon juice gives an amazing relief on burns.
Add a little lemon juice to coconut oil. Mix it well then apply on the burn to get relief.
Black tea bags
The black tea has tannic acid, that helps give cooling of the burn and reduce the pain.
Take three bags of black tea then soak it in sufficient amount of warm water. Allow it to cool and then dip a clean cloth or cotton ball in it then place it on burn. Repeat it accordingly the requirement.
You can place cold wet tea bags directly on affected area.
Onion juice has soothing components that help to heal the burn and to relive the pain.
You just simply cut onion and extract the juice then apply it to burn. Repeat it daily twice for the better results.
Using oats is one of the easiest home remedies for minor burns. Oats has an anti-inflammatory substance that helps to heal burns.
Soak some oats in water then place it on burns. This remedy reduces itching too.
Vinegar decreases pain, itchiness, and inflammation from the burn, as it has acetic acid that is an aspirin component. It is also an antiseptic and an astringent that relive the burn.
Soak a paper towel in vinegar then place it into the affected area.
You can use turmeric powder initially whenever you get minor burn. Take turmeric powder and heat it in peanut oil then allow it to cool. Dip a piece of cotton cloth into it then place it on the burned area. It helps to reduce the pain and does not leave scars on your skin.
