Mouth blisters are also known as mouth ulcer, canker sores. They are a small, shallow sore inside the base of the gums. Bleeding gums, lumps or mass on gums and painful gums are the symptoms of mouth blister. Canker sores can occur on the tongue and inside linings of the cheeks, lips, and throat. They appear in white, grey, or yellow color, with red boundary. Usually, women get mouth blister more than men. You can try these home remedies to relieve pain and inflammation of canker sores.

Saltwater

Natural remedies for blisters

Sodium chloride is a natural disinfectant. Salt water helps you to reduce the painful swelling and to heal it fast. You will need ¼ cup of lukewarm water and ½ tsp of salt. Dissolve both and make the solution. Swish around in your mouth with this salt water for 30 seconds. Spit it out. Then rinse your mouth with fresh and clean water. Follow up this remedy 2-3 times in a day until the canker sores are gone.

Clove oil

Clove oil works miraculously on canker sores. In clove oil, there is a painkiller named eugenol that helps you to reduce pain and inflammation. Swish your mouth first with salt water. With the help of cotton ball apply 4 to 5 drops of clove oil on canker sores and put the cotton ball on it for 10 minutes. It will give numb to that area and gives you relief. You can also apply clove oil directly on mouth blisters for relief. Or use clove oil to rinse your mouth.

Alum

How to cure blisters on tongue

Alum powder used for making pickles. It has antimicrobial properties that fight against with sores and gives you relax. For making this remedy, you will need alum crystals, cotton swab, and water. Crush the crystals of alum and make a fine powder of it. Wet the cotton ball. Dip it in the alum powder. Place this cotton ball on the mouth blister. Leave it for 1 to 2 minute. Remove the cotton ball then rinse your mouth with fresh and clean water. Do this two times in a day.

Vitamin E capsule

Vitamin E is found naturally in some food items. It will help you to heal a canker sore more quickly. The easiest way to perform this remedy is to break a capsule of vitamin E. squeeze a bit of the liquid onto the mouth ulcer. The oil will cover the painful area and protect it from infection.

Toothpaste

Good toothpaste has antimicrobial properties. Always take natural toothpaste for performing any remedy. Natural, homemade toothpaste helps you to get rid of mouth blisters. You will need toothpaste and Q-tip. With the help of Q-tip apply toothpaste on your mouth blister. Leave it for a few minutes. Rinse your mouth with fresh and clean water. This remedy will sting your ulcer, so after that apply Aloe Vera gel on mouth blister. Repeat this process every day until the canker sores disappear.

Fenugreek leaves

Fenugreek leaves can boost your immune system, and they are rich in vitamins and minerals. Fenugreek leaves have healing property. So it helps to reduce your pain and inflammation. Take a handful of fenugreek seeds. Soak the fenugreek seed into the water for an hour. Take two glass of water and boil it. Mix these seeds into the water and allow it to steep for 10 minutes. Filter this solution and set aside to cool. Swish your mouth with this solution for 5 minutes. Repeat this twice times in a day for two to 3 days.

Tomatoes

Home remedies for dry mouth

Tomatoes have antioxidant property. Lycopene is a substance present in it that helps to neutralize harmful free radicals present inside your mouth. Take a couple of ripe tomatoes. Wash them and cut it into slices. Rub these slices on the affected area. You can also chew the ripe tomatoes. Swish the juice of it in your mouth for 2 minutes. Repeat this process until the canker sores are gone.

Sage

Sage is an herb which is a part of the mint family. It often added with graves, soups, and sauces. It balances your immune system. Sage has anti-oxidant and anti-microbial properties they help you to reduce the inflammation of canker sores and gives relief to you. Mix 2 tsp of dried sage in a cup of boiling water. Leave it to get cool. Swish and rinse your mouth with this water for 60 seconds.
